About this event
Scenic ride with many miles along the Delaware River. We also will ride past the River Road Lime Kilns , a good photo op.
≈ 28 miles at a C/D pace, no one left behind.
Coffee, food and restroom at the start: Goldberg’s Bridge Street Bagels, directly across the street from our parking area. Come early for coffee/food if you like, it's a very good deli.
We will ride scenic country roads to the Riegelsville Bridge. A fine food break awaits at the Riegelsville Inn. If we can't get in (busy on weekends) we will proceed to Mueller's General Store and Kitchen, less than a mile away on the D&L trail.
After lunch we ride the gravel section of the route: 6 miles back to Milford on the Delaware and Lehigh rail trail. A bridge may still be out on the trail- we can help each other navigate this minor snag.
This trail section has been done on a road bike by others, but a hybrid/gravel bike is a better choice.
One climb of note around mile 12 on this ride, that's it !
