Summer Streets is an annual celebration of New York City's most valuable public space – our streets. We meet at the Staten Island Ferry at 9:30am and take the free ferry to NYC, ride to the start at Lafayette St by City Hall. The street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, Park Avenue/Lafayette Street in Manhattan (Brooklyn Bridge to E 116th St/Harlem), , the usual traffic noise and honking horns will be replaced by open streets teeming with walkers, bikers, runners, and performers. There will be rest stops and food opportunities. Around 15-35 miles, depending how far you go. Probably a slower pace, sightseeing, and people.
