Wonderful route along the Delaware river and peaceful back roads of Warren County. At mile 39, optional climb up the (in)famous Fiddlers Elbow Road. Fiddlers Elbow is off on the right of our route (Ridge road).
While I'd like us to stay together, the RWGPS cues are spot-on for those who would like to go faster. However, my suggestion is if you're a faster rider,use this as a recovery ride.
Optional Fiddlers Elbow Road segment:
Almost mythical in some cycling circles, Fiddlers Elbow Road is a short hill, very steep towards its end. After a shallow start, the grade soon kicks up. What follows is an extremely steep half mile that includes a stretch of 20+% grade just before the summit. The slope then eases just before the unmarked top. The entire climb (Ridge Road plus Fiddlers Elbow) is 1.4 miles at 9.9% average grade.
Fiddlers Elbow has been included in the prior "Hillier Than Thou" CJBC events, which ran for several years.

note: no bathrooms at the start but there is a Quick Check 1.5 miles away off rt. 46. We won't be passing it on the ride though so hit it before the ride start.
