2026 Board Elections
Purpose: Begin the 2026 CJBC Board election process in accordance with Article VI of the Constitution and Bylaws.
- Appoint Nominating Committee
- Appoint a Nominating Committee consisting of at least three members.
- The committee will identify and present candidates for the 2027 Board.
- Review Election Requirements
- Candidate list to be presented at the October meeting.
- Candidate list to be published to the general membership before the election.
- Additional nominations from the floor may be made prior to publication of the candidate list.
- Election to be conducted by secret ballot.
- Unopposed candidates may be elected by acclamation.
- Annual Meeting / Election Date
- Confirm the date and meeting arrangements for the Annual Membership Meeting and election.
- Note: Article VI states the election is held at the Annual Meeting in December, while Article VII(B) states the Annual Membership Meeting is held in November. The Board should address this discrepancy before sending the formal meeting notice.
