Sat. July 27 Two Ring Circus 35 - 40 miles. 9 AM C pace 3/4/2 Start: rear of nursing home parking lot (John Montgomery?) on Dutch Lane, Freehold. This is about 1/2 mile from the Freehold HS at the intersection of Dutch Lane & Rt. 79. The parking lot is adjacent to the Monmouth Heritage Rail Trail.

This is two rides in one. The western half is going to be a scouting ride for the Farmlands event. We will take the Monmouth Heritage Rail Trail to Bear Brook Park (Rt. 520), where a gap exists. Then we will take Rt. 520 to Brookdale College, down a sizable hill before the road levels off. After that, we will start the eastern loop to see if we can spot Phil Murphy's residence. We will ride into Red Bank & Fair Haven, cross over the Navesink River, and turn upstream along Navesink River Rd., the street the Guv. lives on. After we return to the college, we will finish the western half of the route by going to Bucks Mill Park and either return to Freehold by way of Dutch Lane or Rt. 537 or a combination of those roads.
