Croton Dam 55, C/D, 2-4, 8am start -- CANCELED

A road/trail ride with the Central Jersey Bicycle Club over the Tappan Zee (Governor Mario M. Cuomo) bridge. Once across the bridge, it's onwards and upwards to the Croton dam. On the way, we will make a stop at the Sleepy Hollow lighthouse.
The ride will be at a c/d pace, no drop. There will be several breaks for pictures. This will be a ride to take in the sights and enjoy our surroundings, not so much for physical effort. That said, the elevation gain is for real !
About 10 miles of the ride will be on a paved trail (North County Trailway) There are some sections of gravel by the dam, (to get to the bottom of the dam, less than 2 miles) - most have been fine with a road bike. At the rides end we will have the option to cycle to Piermont, road or trail (Old Erie Path) for food and drink.
